A powerful reminder as we begin another week at BNI Read.

Opportunities don’t always arrive with certainty.

Sometimes they come disguised as a referral, a visitor to the room, a conversation over coffee, or an introduction that doesn’t seem significant at the time.

The challenge for many business owners isn’t finding opportunities.

It’s having the confidence to say yes when they appear.

Growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone. It happens when you’re willing to take the meeting, have the conversation, attend the event, make the introduction, or explore the opportunity before you know exactly where it might lead.

At BNI, we see this every week.

♦️ This Week at BNI Read (West Swindon) ♦️

Another brilliant meeting this week with great energy around the room, strong conversations and some fantastic visitors joining us from sectors including Care Homes and Business Coaching.

We also heard a lovely testimonial from Nicki Kinton for Nick White from White & White Healthcare. Nicki shared how comfortable and at ease Nick made her feel during treatment, praising his professionalism, friendly approach and the overall experience she received.

Nicki also delivered this week’s education slot, encouraging members to take advantage of the excellent BNI online training and explaining how it contributes towards your BNI ‘traffic lights’ — the system used within BNI to measure member engagement through things like training, referrals, 1-1s and participation.

🎤 This week’s Featured Speaker was Nathan Sandhu from Jazzbones, who brought plenty of energy to the room dressed in a doctor’s outfit to launch his BNI Exclusive FREE Website Health Check offer for members and their friends, usually valued at £395.

Nathan also spoke about how simple website improvements can often make a huge difference to visibility, lead generation and business growth, sharing insight from a recent estate agent client project.

We’re also looking forward to some fun social events in June including a trip to the pub and paddleboarding.

♦️ BNI Read (West Swindon) – This Week’s Meeting ♦️

Another great meeting this week at BNI Read, with strong conversations, useful insight and some brilliant examples of how referrals grow through trusted relationships.

A huge thank you to Laura Caddy from Laura Caddy Lifts for stepping into the President role and keeping everything running smoothly.

We kicked off with an education slot from Sheldon Thellis from Voyster Travel, sharing practical ways to use ChatGPT to identify ideal referral partners and create personalised outreach emails more effectively.

🎤 Featured Speaker – Richard Hubble from Its Eeze
Richard delivered a really insightful presentation on the importance of being specific within BNI.

Using a brilliant shopping list analogy, he explained that if you simply ask someone to “buy food”, they’ve no idea what you actually want. But if you give them a clear shopping list, they can deliver exactly what you need.

The same applies to referrals.�
A great reminder that clarity creates better opportunities.

We also celebrated two fantastic referrals for Stewart Bellinger from Bellinger Financial Planning, passed by Amanda Baldry from Grow Insurance and Ioan Frantugu from Fine Grain Your World In Wood.

Proof again that strong 1-1s and trusted relationships lead to quality referrals.
