There’ll be fresh organic veg available to buy, plenty going on for adults and children and a chance to see where your food actually comes from.

Sunday 6th September from 10am - 2pm. Please book via email, [email protected]. Entry is FREE, all profits will be shared between Wetherby & District Food Bank & Martin House Children’s Hospice.

There will be a bouncy castle, tractor riders, scavenger hunts, toy tractors for the children to play with, hot food ( a BBQ and a vegan curry) and soft drinks.

We are giving this lorry body a new lease of life as a cashless, self service shop.. 🛒

As of the 6th of september you will be able to come and pick up your fresh veg on certain days ( to be announced). 🥬🥒🥕🧑‍🌾

We have been asked time and time again "can we come down to the farm?", well from next weekend you can!

( Sorry a long post, but worth the read if you like fresh local veg!) 🫣

We’ve got lots happening at the farm at the moment, and we’d love you to come and be part of it at our open day on Sunday 6th September from 10am - 2pm. Please book via email, [email protected]. Entry is FREE, all profits will be shared between Wetherby & District Food Bank & Martin House Children's Hospice.

🥕 THE SHOP IS BACK!

We’re really excited to announce that we’re reopening our farm shop from the 6th of September – this time as a self-service, cashless Veg Shed , packed with fresh organic fruit and veg from the farm.

This is something we’d love to build into a really useful local destination – but we need the support of our local community to make it work, so come and buy some local organic veg!

❤️ WE’RE PARTNERING WITH WETHERBY FOOD BANK

We’re also delighted to be announcing a new partnership with Wetherby & District Food Bank. Moving forward when we deliver a veg box we will be able to collect and consolidate customer donations here at the farm and deliver them to the Food Bank, making it easier for our community to support local people who need it.

The Wetherby Food Bank team will be joining us at the Open Day too, so you can meet them and find out more.

🥕 Lots coming off the farm this week! 🌱

The fields are keeping us busy at the moment, with plenty of lovely salad onions, mixed salad, rocket, radishes, cabbages and potatoes making their way into the veg boxes.

The potatoes are a little smaller than usual after such a dry summer, but they’re still tasting great! 🥔

Lots of other seasonal bits and bobs coming through too. We hope you enjoy this week’s boxes — fresh, organic and straight from our field to your table. 💚

Finally some rain! 💧More is needed but its a good start.. 😊

The most important time in a plant’s life is the first week, if we can get the conditions right then the plants get off to a good start, they out compete the weeds, not as vulnerable to pests and disease and they are more drought resistant. 💪

We are not out of the woods yet but it’s a good start! 🧑‍🌾

Jonnie will do around 30,000 steps a day when he is moving water pipes..this heat and lack of water is making life tough on the farm! 🧑‍🌾

Jonnie used this irrigation system 3 years in the first 20 years he had it. He has used it 4 of the last 6 years due to drought.. This is all extra cost that he can't recover as-well as back breaking work.
