Thatโs a nice pile of books going off to the shops. So exciting to have real places to take books to again!
You can buy these at The Rusty Coo Lairg, in person (or online if youโre not local)
Books are also available locally from The Highland Farm Cafe, Dornoch Bookshop, The Highland Bookshop (Fort William) and Munro Fruit Merchants Tain, delivered with your fruit and veg - a great pairing!
You can also buy copies direct, if thereโs no supplier locally to you. They are not available on Amazon.

Collected our lovely seasonal British produce from Munro Fruit Merchants Tain first thing this morning. I have horseradish root too but itโs not really a looker!
I tend to keep it simple with this freshest of new season produce. Steamed grass with a poached egg or some hollandaise sauce is perfect. Both, if you want to push the boat out!
For the rhubarb, pair with ginger and add a simple oat crumble topping for pudding delight. Or if you prefer, a multi-purpose compote (thatโs compote, not compost!) great with yoghurt, on your porridge, or frozen as a granita.
What are you doing with yours?

Did an online order for fruit and veg on Wed. morning about 10 .30 ish. to be delivered. Did not expect it till Mon. 4th. Delivered this morning. What service ! and pleased with the excellent quality and freshness.
WELL DONE MUNRO FRUIT MERCHANT TAIN
๐ทCharcuterie Boards to share are a favourite in our house. We set ourselves a challenge and made this one using Scottish and local wherever possible. We made ours with Bogrow Cured meats (of course!), cheese from Highland Fine Cheeses, fruit and veg from Munro Fruit Merchants Tain and a selection of crackers from Dornoch Stores. Cheese straws from Stag Bakeries went down especially well! #scottishcharcuterie #shoplocal #supportlocal
