Back again with another fantastic sale on yourbid - get your bids in!

Good evening Folks
It’s that time of year again our online Lleyn tup sale is upon us. After two years of selling our tups online it has proved successful for us and we have been pleased to hear the positive feedback from our customers so we have decided to make it an annual thing with ambitions to potentially try some of the other breeding stock we produce on the farm in years to come.
But let’s focus on this year first. We have 26 very fit and vigorous Lleyn tups available this year and the auction is now live @ https://yourbid.org/laga-lieyn-sale-2026

A good day at our Great from Grass last Friday, with a strong trade for a really good run of naturally reared, grass-fed rams and gimmers. With the drought in the south and Bluetongue causing a bit of uncertainty across the industry, it was good to see plenty of buyers out and bidding online from all over the UK.

Averages:
146 rams averaged £1,238.
153 gimmers averaged £284.

Top prices:
Beltex × Texel ram – £2,700, Balgonar Farm
Aberfield ram – £2,600, Brian Ridland, Orkney
Texel by Fearn Expert – £2,400, Kirsty Grant, Gaskbeg
Texel by Inchecoch Fat Sam – £2,400, Neil Sands, Abernyte
Gimmers topped at £320 for Aberfield × gimmers, going to repeat buyer Charles MacIvor, Thurso, who also took another pen at £310.
Romney × gimmers also made £310, selling to repeat buyer Balcaskie Estate, Fife.

Overall, a solid day’s trading and encouraging to see the demand still there for quality, grass-fed sheep.
