There’s more to a tank build than the work you see on site. Planning, organisation and practical expertise all play a part in bringing a project together.

Katie handles the organising and arranges build dates, helping turn project requirements into a scheduled visit. Her work behind the scenes is an essential part of getting our teams on site and keeping customers’ projects moving.

Our trained engineers carry out the on-site assembly of our GRP sectional tanks, building them from individual bolt-together panels. This modular construction allows tanks to be assembled in locations where access can prevent a one-piece or two-piece tank from being installed.

Every build needs to account for its surroundings. Access routes, working clearances, base readiness and site working restrictions all influence how the installation is planned and carried out.

For projects requiring a full replacement, Purewater Storage Ltd also offers a turnkey service covering the removal of the existing tank, installation of the new system, testing, commissioning and handover, with ongoing support available through Purecare.

From Katie’s organisation to our engineers’ work on site, it’s a combined effort that helps make water storage easy.

That is the potential shortfall facing England’s public water supply by 2055, equivalent to around one third of the water currently used each day or enough to fill Wembley Stadium four and a half times.

How do you replace rooftop water tanks without interrupting the supply to an entire apartment complex?

At Westmount Apartments in Brighton, the ageing galvanised and GRP tanks needed to be replaced with a reliable correctly sized water storage solution.

Temporary tanks were installed to maintain a constant water supply while the replacement work was completed in carefully managed phases. Limited headroom inside the rooftop plant rooms presented another challenge, so the new tanks were designed with side-access manways to provide safer, more practical access for future maintenance.

We supplied and installed:

💧 4 × 2,000-litre GRP sectional water storage tanks
💧 Totally Internally Flanged construction
💧 AG air-gap configuration
💧 Side-access manways
