Celebrate the Sunshine and the extra day off by having our freshly brewed Old Ale at The Stags Head - Dunster! 🌞🍻

We have a fantastic selection of beers coming up over the next week or 2, carefully chosen to bring you some new and different beers than you'd usually see on the pumps....

More ales are available, but this is to showcase the range of higher abv beers that will be available at The Stags Head - Dunster

The first (as in, it's available right now) is a heavyweight amongst draught porters, the one and only Titanic Plum Porter!! A surprisingly easy to drink beer and 4.9% of pure goodness!!

We also have offerings from On The Level Brew Co with a brand new beer from them with their freshly brewed Old Ale, coming in at a healthy 6.2%. Fans of Exmoor Beast, this one's for you!!

We have a limited edition anniversary brew from St Austell Brewery with their 1851. Brewed to commemorate the 175th anniversary of Walter Hicks founding the brewery. Brewed to a healthy 5.1%.

And on a lighter note, it's definitely looking like IPA weather, all the way from the Channel Islands is Liberation Brewing Co's IPA. (I'm looking forward to that one personally!! - Ringo). And at 4.8%, it's not too heavy.

Notice Mika waiting patiently for a pint, she didn't have ID with her today so she had to settle bowl.of water instead!

🍺 SOMERSET IPA IS BACK 🍺

We’re heading to The Stags Head, Dunster this Tuesday (7th April) from 6pm to launch this year’s Somerset IPA and you’re invited.

Huge thanks to Janie & Nige for having us 🍻

Spring/Summer only. First pours of the season. No fuss.

Brewed as a nod to the original IPAs from 200 years ago, brought up to date with modern hops.

🌲 Earthy pine
🍊 Bright citrus
🍯 Subtle caramel, toasty finish

IBU 55 | Pale amber

Fine Tuned Brewery with one of their limited run seasonal brews, 'Misty Mountain Hop', bringing a refreshing hoppiness to the pumps.

And waiting patiently in the wings is a beer that doesn't really need introducing, the flagship session ale from Otter Brewery that is their 'bitter'.

Even when the roads look more like rivers… the beer still needs delivering 🚚🌊🍻

After months of relentless rain, the Somerset Levels have flooded again this winter - one of the worst we’ve seen in years.

But this is home for us. This is where we brew.

The Levels are a beautiful, slightly wild place, steeped in folklore. Flooding has always been part of life here - the water comes, the land rests, and when it drains away, it leaves the fields fertile for the year ahead.

Today the sky has finally turned blue and the water is starting to drain. A welcome sign of brighter days ahead.
