🔥 Extreme Heat & Poultry: Don’t Wait Until They’re Struggling — Support Them Before Stress Hits 🔥

With temperatures soaring, your birds lose more than just water. Heat stress can quickly affect hydration, electrolyte balance, feed intake, and overall performance.

💧 Electrolytes are a simple and effective way to support birds during hot weather by helping replace essential minerals lost during heat stress.

But not all electrolyte products are the same…

Our electrolyte solution with Vitamin C does more than just hydrate your birds — it helps support them through periods of stress, helping them cope better with the challenges that extreme temperatures bring.

✅ Supports hydration
✅ Helps replace electrolytes
✅ Vitamin C support during heat stress
✅ Simple and effective

And importantly… no added sugars.

Some electrolyte products use sugar sources such as glucose. While these can be used as an energy source, in hot conditions where water systems are under pressure and lines are not regularly flushed, leftover residues can contribute to unwanted microbial growth and biofilm issues.

The last thing you need during heat stress is a water line problem.

⚠️ Don’t wait until birds are already showing signs of heat stress. Prevention is key.

We haven’t seen the end of this hot weather yet — and there’s every chance more challenging days are ahead.

A simple, affordable product kept ready on the shelf means you’re prepared when you need it most.

Keeping a box or two available could be the difference between reacting to a problem and preventing one.

🐔☀️ Keep your birds hydrated. Keep them supported. Keep it simple.

“Excuse me... what’s this?” 🤔🐓

New things don’t stay unexplored for long when chickens are involved!

These lovely hens were recently introduced to one of our pecking blocks and it didn’t take long before curiosity took over. Watching birds scratch, peck and investigate is exactly the sort of natural behaviour we love to encourage.

Perfect for:
🌿 Backyard flocks
🌿 Rare breed collections
🌿 Smallholders
🌿 Poultry centres and visitor attractions

📩 Interested in finding out more? Send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

⚠️ Warning: May cause hens to become completely egg-sessed 🐔🥚

This morning I dropped my mum off for a dentist appointment, and the consultant spotted my work top and said, "You work in poultry, don't you? I've just seen on the news that we should only be eating white eggs. Are they healthier? Do they contain more goodness? Are brown eggs bad for us?"

Honestly, I was quite surprised.

The colour of an eggshell has absolutely nothing to do with its nutritional value. White eggs and brown eggs are still eggs. They contain the same fantastic nutrients, protein, vitamins and minerals that make eggs such a great food.

A hen lays a white or brown egg depending on her breed – not because one egg is healthier than the other.

While there has been a lot of discussion recently about retailers moving towards white eggs and potential environmental benefits, it's important that consumers aren't left thinking brown eggs are somehow inferior or less healthy. They are not.

Please continue supporting your local egg producers, farm shops and egg vending machines. Many of them sell beautiful brown eggs, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

An egg is an egg – whether the shell is white, brown, blue or green. 🥚❤️

Electrolytes and heat stress 🥵

☀️ Due to the recent unexpected high temperatures, many of our customers — and ourselves — were caught out, resulting in our stock of Vita Stress C being depleted much quicker than expected.

🚚 The good news is that a fresh delivery will be with us by the end of the week.

💧 What makes Vita Stress C so effective during periods of high temperatures is the combination of Vitamin C and electrolytes, helping to reduce stress while supporting hydration all in one go.

🐥 Our message to everyone this summer is to keep some on site during the warmer months. With a 2-year shelf life, it’s always handy to have available when temperatures suddenly rise.

📦 We’ll be keeping extra stock on hand too — reducing stress for you, but more importantly, reducing stress on your birds.

🙋‍♀️Hands up if you went to the Pig & Poultry Fair…
🙋‍♂️Hands up if you enjoyed it…
🙋‍♀️Hands up if you’re absolutely egg-hausted after two brilliant days!

What an amazing event it’s been! We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us over the last two days — it was fantastic putting faces to names, catching up with familiar customers and meeting plenty of new ones too.

As a family business, it was lovely to hear so many positive comments about what we do and how we work. Thank you to everyone who took the time to look at our products, ask questions and chat all things poultry with us.

From poultry water systems and biosecurity to chick gel, enrichment products and everything in between, it’s been great talking about the industry we love. We’re looking forward to following up with lots of potential new customers over the coming weeks.

We had a huge amount of interest in our water systems — especially our automatic flushing systems — and over the next few weeks Robin will be busy installing new orders received at the fair! 🚰🐥

We also hope you enjoyed our chicken feet sweets… they definitely got people talking! 😂

If you’d like to know more about our auto flush systems or any of our products, feel free to send us a message. And if you didn’t manage to catch us at the show but would like one of our new brochures, just pop me a WhatsApp on 07818 516596.

Now it’s definitely time to put our feet up! ☕🐥
