After tasting artisan ‘paletas’ coated and sprinkled with delicious toppings whilst visiting Miami, I wanted to see if I could make and sell a range of gourmet ice lollies in delicious flavours here at home in Somerset. The focus for LUXE Lollies, is combining natural products with zero additives, sourced almost exclusively from the UK, to produce a high quality range of luxury ice lollies. Recipe

eat Festivals Head of Sparkle loves a little treat every now and then. Whilst hanging out at eat Festivals Dawlish, I managed to ‘persuade’ her to have a milk chocolate dipped vanilla LUXE mini lolly, topped with rainbow sprinkles. My mini lollies aren’t just for little children!!!

It’s a universal truth that chilly and wet weather does not bring great lolly sales! So, today in Dawlish I took photos of lots of dogs. Watching dogs and their owners is one of the joys of food festival life 🐕🐕

Enjoyed making this today, especially for eat Festivals Portishead. A totally tropical mix of oranges sourced from CrowdFarming and 100% pineapple juice. My first NO ADDED SUGAR lolly 😀. There is added water, a bit, and annoyingly the mix separates a bit during freezing, but I am reluctant to add any 'nasties', such as stabiliser like guar gum (although gg is a natural product in fact). What do you think? 100% natural, or add guar gum for aesthetic reasons?

Baking biscuits today for my NEW ice cream sandwiches 😀. Filled with home made gelato and a sticky sauce, these are a great alternative to my LUXE lollies if you’re an ice cream fan. Did you know I’ve had people turn down a lolly because they don’t like the thought of the wooden stick ?!?! 🤔 🙏 Find me this weekend at eat Festivals Weston Super Mare (Sat 18th) and Exmouth (Sun 19th).
