Good evening all.

After a lot of deliberation I have decided that I will no longer be able to provide you good people with baked goods. This decision hasn't come easy but it has just become too difficult since I have gone back to work to find the time as well as being a busy hands on Dad of two young men who need me more than you all need cake!

I will still bake and I will be keeping my Instagram page active so if you want to keep in touch and see what creations I've made then head over to insta and follow that page of the same name (Mike's Bakes) only from now on I will only be baking with my kids or for my kids.

I would be more than happy to pass on any recipes I have and I'm more than happy to give any advice to those who want to get their hands messy!

Ive thoroughly enjoyed baking for you all, a particular highlight was when I raised over £200 for cancer research in one weekend but all good things must come to an end.

A messy coffee and walnut cake with a coffee caramel drip, walnut brittle and cake truffles to decorate. This one didn't quite go to plan as the caramel didn't set how I wanted but I heard it went down a treat all the same. Still learning and improving all the time! 👊🏼

Like I said in my last post this is the last commercial cake I will be doing until I get my house in order but if I bake anything for the fam I'll put it up.

I'll be taking a little break from commercial baking for now as I have just moved house so I need to sort my life out before I properly start back up again 😂

In the mean time here's some home made walnut brittle and coffee, dark chocolate, walnut cake truffles to keep you going.

I will get my little baking area sorted and make sure the fam is happy and can access the kitchen when they need then I'll be back with a bang.

So here is the grand total! We raised a MASSIVE £215.00 for cancer research and no doubt other amazing cancer related causes!

I would like to take this time to thank each and every person who purchased brownies from myself this weekend! I hope you enjoy them and enjoy the thought that every penny of profit has gone to this amazing cause!

I thought to myself if I could raise £75.00 then I'd be happy. I aimed for a top end of £150 but we absolutely smashed it! I'm so bloody pleased!

Yesterday's orders will be out for delivery this afternoon after 12pm. If you're not going to be in can you message me a safe place to leave your brownies as I won't be able to re visit drop offs due to the volume of brownies being delivered.

I'm so hype for tomorrow's Bake-a-thon! It's going to be a busy one for me with TWENTY ONE orders to complete in a single day!!!😬😬😬 I can't wait to see the final total we will have raised with all profits going towards Stand Up To Cancer❤️

I'm going to need ALL of the coffee and ALL of the music to get me through it 😂😂😂 Any and all music recommendations to keep me motivated are appreciated! I will put them in my play list 😎

OK so whoever has ordered my charity brownies, if you haven't already could you please send me your address in a private message so I know where I'm delivering them to on Sunday 😁

If you haven't already ordered some but would like to then you have until tomorrow (Friday 26th March) midday to get your orders in! I'll be baking them all in one go on Saturday like a mad man but I will be buying the ingredients tomorrow so if you miss that cut off point I'm afraid I can't guarantee you'll be included in the bake-a-thon 😩 we're already well over the £100 mark and fast approaching the £200 mark which is way more than I thought I'd be able to raise so I'm absolutely over the moon but would love to push it as high as I can go so please spread the word and get your orders in!

I will be accepting cash on delivery but if you would prefer you can always PayPal me 😊

🗣️I am very proud to announce that I will be doing a Brownie Bake-a-thon on Saturday 27th of March 2021 as a part of The Great British Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off for !!! 📢

I have chosen to bake my classic triple chocolate brownies and I will be baking for as long as I have orders so if that takes me 24 hours then so be it!

I will be selling these at rates of £10 for six brownies or £15 for twelve and am requesting you all get your orders in as soon as possible as I will be buying ingredients on the Friday.

This is a great cause and the brownies are delicious (even if I do say so myself) so if you want to enjoy some tasty treats AND raise money to help fight cancer then it's a win win!

I will be delivering them on the Sunday and once I have finished baking I will announce how much we have all raised!

Please share this post as much as you can!

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate these beautiful blondies? They're so fudgy and delicious and with white chocolate and milk chocolate chunks they're definitely in my top 5 things to eat. This particular batch were GLUTEN FREE!
