Teme Valley Turkeys supply, traditional, oven ready, farm fresh white turkeys for the Christmas market. Based in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire.

This week we welcomed the first lot of our turkey poults onto the farm at Teme Valley Turkeys.
They are approximately 6 weeks old. They will stay in the shed for a few weeks until they are older, and then we will let them out into the fields to hopefully enjoy some grass, if it ever greens up!

Day 15 of the Teme Valley Turkeys advent page.

In just 8 days, our customers will be collecting there turkey. Our turkeys are are supplied to you in an environmentally friendly cardboard box. Not only is this fully recyclable, it means our bird can breathe, as apposed to sitting in a plastic bag.

Day 14 of the Teme Valley Turkeys advent calendar! Healthy aswell as happy turkeys are really imprtant to me. And after giving them clean bedding & topped up there feeders, it’s quite relaxing to just sit and watch them as they quietly go about being a turkey - I hope you can see that in this video.

Day 12, of the Teme Valley Turkeys advent calendar, and over half way through!

So a little competition for you all… to win one of our veg boxes worth £27, please like & share this post, & tag 2 friends. (Please note, sharing, shared posts, will not be counted.)

Our veg boxes are put together to feed approximately 8 people, and include potatoes 🥔 , carrots 🥕, leaks, parsnips, red cabbage 🔴🥬 , a sprout tree, swede & cauliflower.

Winner will be drawn next Sunday 20th. The winner will need to be able to collect from WR15 8LY on the 23rd December.

Day 11 of the Teme Valley Turkeys advent calendar.

A Friday turkey fact for you….
The world record for the world’s heaviest turkey was in 1989, and weighed 86lb, or just shy of 40kg.

Tyson, the winning turkey was sold at auction for £4,400! This record remains undefeated to this day!

The biggest turkey we have ever produced was 32.5lb, so not even half!

Day 10 of the Teme Valley Turkeys Turkeys advent calendar.

Our birds are reared slowly, and are processed at around 22 weeks, meaning that they have been allowed to grow and mature slowly, having lived a fulfilled life, making for a succulent and juicy bird.
