FIRST CLASS FISH & CHIPS...............For over 60 years our shop in the picturesque village of Thornton le Dale has been serving the finest fish & chips, in all that time very little has changed, we only use the finest MSC certified fish and freshly chipped potatoes grown just a few miles away on the Yorkshire Wolds and, of course, we only use traditional beef dripping to cook in - fish & chips the way your grandparents enjoyed them.

We will now be open every day throughout the summer and all day during the school holidays. If you are looking for the very best fish & chips, then almost all our cod and haddock is caught by the Solberg and is widely regarded as amongst the finest FAS fish available. Our potatoes are grown just 12 miles from the shop and peeled and chipped fresh before being twice cooked in beef dripping. Our frying pans are emptied at the end of each day and cleaned out. The fat is filtered and fresh is added so that we can offer a consistent, high-quality product. Customers also have the option of hake, which is a great value alternative to the traditional choices. Your local fish & chip shop, open when you need it.
