A little House of Temper update… 🍫

After a lot of thought (and a lot of expensive cocoa beans), I’ve made the decision to close House of Temper.

Running a small chocolate business using high quality ingredients just isn’t financially sustainable anymore, and I was never willing to cut corners, use cheaper ingredients, or load everything with sugar just to make it work.

The good news is the tempering machine has gone to live its next chapter at the stunning Grantley Hall, which feels like a pretty lovely home for it 🖤

There’s still some remaining stock available at Castlegate Cards until the end of May, so if you’d like one last chocolate fix, that’s where to find it. Once it’s gone, it’s gone!

I may still do the occasional chocolate drop here and there because I don’t think I can fully stay away forever, so keep an eye on the page 👀

Alright… this one didn’t come out looking exactly how I wanted 😅

So instead of selling it… I’m giving it away.

This week I’ll be slipping this Speckled Crown Egg into one random order over £20. No announcement, no heads up… just a surprise

The sprinkles on the outside may not be as perfect as I’d like, but inside it’s thick, loaded, and full of mini egg style chocolates 👀

Also… a few brand new bars have just dropped on the website.
Just saying.

🐣 Easter Eggs!! Limited Pre-Order Only

I haven’t been very active on here lately as most of my time has been spent supplying stockists and fulfilling retail orders, which also means a lot of the website has been out of stock 😑

But… I couldn’t let Easter pass without doing a small batch of House of Temper eggs.

To make sure I can produce them all properly, these will be pre-order only and very limited.

Each egg is £15 and handmade in my signature chocolate.

Castlegate Cards are closing for a few weeks for essential maintenance, which means their remaining few House of Temper chocolates have come back home with me for a little while.

They’re absolutely fine until the end of January, but fresh artisan chocolate definitely tastes its best when it’s enjoyed fresh. So instead of letting them sit, I’m selling off the last few Winter Collection boxes at a reduced price so they can be devoured 👌🏼

I’ve got 6 piece and 12 piece boxes available and they both include:
– S’mores Bites
– Passionfruit Caramel
– Dark Hazelnut Gianduja Heart

Prices are:
6 piece box: £4
12 piece box: £8

I’ll be adding them to the website tomorrow, but if you’d like one before then, just send me a message.

And, because I can’t help myself, I’ve started adding “Test Kitchen” treats to the website too.. they are small batch creations for anyone who likes trying something new. The first one live is the Naughty Nutter (£2.50): a chunky chocolate shell with a biscuity peanut butter filling, and it really is as good as it sounds.
