Shoulder thinning underway today 🍇

Looks like the perfect bunch, doesn’t it? And it very nearly is! But today we’re shoulder thinning — and although it might seem strange to remove perfectly good grapes, the ‘shoulders’ of the bunch tend to be less ripe than the rest. Removing them helps improve the overall quality of the juice and is an important part of producing the best possible fruit for harvest.

Starting 2026 harvest today. Precoce picked to build a wild yeast starter culture. Foot troden, no yeast added, super ripe with great fruit flavours.

🎉 Congratulations to Charlotte from Matfield, who popped into the w**ery shop to collect her English W**e Week prize – a magnum of our 2015 Limney Estate Sparkling! 🍾

Blue skies, an early start, and another beautiful morning in the vineyard. ☀️🍇

Today began with leaf stripping – removing leaves around the grape bunches to improve airflow and let in more sunlight, helping the grapes ripen evenly while reducing the risk of disease.

Every season brings its own jobs, and every one plays a part in producing our award-winning organic w**es... even Kevin, our vineyard dog! 🐾🍷
