This week we're raising a glass to The Two Poplars in Wokingham, where you'll find Tongham TEA on the bar. A little bit of Surrey in Berkshire!

A family and dog-friendly local with burgers, pizzas and a cracking Sunday roast, live sport on the big screens, plus a pool table, darts and a regular quiz night.

Something new is landing at the Brewery Tap.

From Wednesday 26 August we're open from 9am, and Brunch is on. The Brewers Royal – smoked salmon, avocado, poached eggs and hollandaise, stacked on our homemade hash browns. The Hogs Back Full English. Smashed avocado, pastries, granola and proper coffee.

Every ingredient sourced locally, from producers close to home.

Served 9am to 3pm, Wednesday to Saturday. Manor Farm, Tongham.

A quick visit to the hop garden shows a lot of male hop plants this year. It’s the female plants which produce the familiar hop cones, but a few male plants are needed for obvious reasons! Normally it’s one male to every 1000 female plants but the male plants have proliferated. Unfortunately, short of digging up the male plants, we have to let nature take its course!
