Unfortunately in most major cities, the £5 latte is becoming standard.💷
The Guardian recently cited London cafes selling flat whites for £5.19. Extras like alternative milk or an additional shot could easily push a drink beyond £4.50
The Costa latte rose from £2.95 in 2021 to £4.10 today. That’s a 39% increase. If you bought a latte everyday, you’d be spending roughly £1,066 a year.🫠
But, no one is quitting coffee. We might cut back on meals out or opt for the off brand at the market. However, coffee is a must we’re not willing to sacrifice.
