High ceilings, old beams, shelves lined with bottles and changing artwork on the walls. Our Gallery Bar is now far removed from the old farmhouse it once was.

The perfect spot for a few small plates from .restaurant shared across the table, a glass of something new from the wine list, or a cocktail as the afternoon rolls on.

And during live music days when the weather decides to do what English weather does best, the atmosphere simply moves indoors. Music, wine and good company, and our next session isn’t far away.

Jago Rackham Hosts Dinner in this July.

On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July, .restaurant will welcome writer, cook and host Jago Rackham to Sandridge Barton Estate for two long-table dinners amongst the vines.

Set within the rolling Dart Valley, guests will gather around a single candlelit table weaving through the vineyard as evening settles across the estate.

Alongside the ROAM team, Jago will prepare a four-course feast celebrating summer produce, communal dining and the art of entertaining, with dishes designed for sharing, passing across the table and enjoying slowly as the evening unfolds.

The collaboration marks something of a homecoming for Jago, who grew up just ten minutes away and whose family celebrations were often marked by bottles of Sandridge Barton wine.

Inspired by his debut book To Entertain, released earlier this year, the dinners will bring together the recipes, stories and generous style of hosting that have become synonymous with his cooking.

Throughout the evening, ROAM Co-Founder Miles Tuddenham and Sandridge Barton Winemaker Charlie Brown will pour wines selected in response to the menu.

Arrival from 5pm
£75 per person, including a welcome cocktail and four-course dinner.

Limited spaces available.

English Wine Week is nearly here, and we’re looking forward to celebrating in one of our favourite ways: around a table laden with seasonal food, a few bottles of wine, and great company.

We’re heading to Le Vin Perdu for a special evening with the team, who’ll be cooking a feast built around some of the best local produce the season has to offer.

Alongside each dish, we’ll be pouring a selection of Sandridge Barton wines chosen to bring out the best in both the food and the glass.

Duncan will be joining us for the evening too. Before the feast begins, he’ll share a little about what we’re up to here at Sandridge Barton and the wines you’ll be tasting.

Then he’ll be on hand throughout the night, pouring the optional wine flight, sharing stories from the vineyard and winery, and chatting all things English wine.

The feast is £45 per person, with an optional wine pairing available on the night. Bookings are available from 6.30pm via this link - https://www.opentable.co.uk/booking/experiences-availability?rid=294627&restref=294627&experienceId=732921&utm_source=external&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=shared

Please note that the event is taking place at Le Vin Perdu, 11 West Street, not at Sandridge Barton.

Sandridge Barton is more than a vineyard!

Whether you're stopping by for a coffee beside the stream, stretching your legs on the beautiful nature trail, saying hello to the sheep, or simply soaking up the views across the Dart Valley, it's a wonderful place to spend a few hours with family and friends.

And if wine isn't on the agenda, there's still plenty to enjoy. Settle in with a freshly brewed The Curator coffee or hot chocolate, or choose from soft drinks such as refreshing Sicilian Lemonade from Luscombe Drinks, or kombucha from Brewhaha Craft Kombucha.

With vineyard walks, wildlife to spot, space for little ones to explore and plenty of peaceful corners to relax, Sandridge Barton is the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy a taste of South Devon.

You may know Sandridge Barton for the vineyard and winery, but beyond the vines, we also care for a 450-acre estate here in the Dart Valley.

It stretches across farmland, woodlands, wildflower meadows, rolling hills, and vineyards, all the way to the River Dart.

It’s a place we care for with nature in mind, from encouraging biodiversity across the estate to farming regeneratively and looking after the health of the soil beneath the vines.

Next time you visit, bring some comfy shoes and give yourself a little extra time to explore the wider estate.

Look out for signs for our Vineyard Trail, or just ask a member of the team.

Bank Holiday is just a few days away

A few things happening across the weekend

May 23rd | Saturdays Sunset Social Club is fully booked for tables & picnic blankets now, but we’ll still be open for walk-ins if you fancy coming up for a drink, some food and a dance as the sun goes down.

May 24th | On Sunday 1–3pm, harpist Misuzu Matsumoto will be playing a gentle soundtrack to pair with your tasting.

May 25th | And Monday afternoon, the Jesse Molins Organ Trio are bringing jazz, funk and Latin grooves to the courtyard from 1–3pm.

ROAM is open all weekend, with a few tables still available, head to their website to check availability and make your reservation.

Finally our Paint & Pinot evening is this Friday. A really relaxed workshop centred around Pinot Noir, still life painting, slowing down and noticing beyond the glass. No experience needed at all. To learn more and make a booking, head otherwise head to our ‘Upcoming Events’ page

If you needed a sign to come down and enjoy a glass of wine with us in the Dart Valley, a heatwave sounds like a pretty good one to us. See you soon!
