We've had just the most beautiful bunch of holiday makers here in our little cottage this summer...guests from as far apart as Austria 🇦🇹 and Kentucky 🇺🇸 and everywhere in between.
Warms my heart seeing children enjoy the animals and playing around in a bit of dirt ♥️
And seeing our life afresh through others eyes once in a while isn't a bad thing. Helps us appreciate what we have rather than just see the jobs we need to do!
Tbh its hard work sometimes fitting in the changeovers and organising the laundry. But to see these makes it all worthwhile

A MASSIVE ACHIEVEMENT (especially for our small company) and her name is amongst the best women in the UK all working for BIG meat processing companies. But to get her through to the finals we need your vote!

🌶️ WE'RE HIRING an ARTISAN FOOD MAKER 🍖
We're looking for someone to join our small, friendly team at Welsh Homestead Smokery in Penuwch, near Tregaron, from September 2026.
⏰ Part-time – approximately 16 hours per week
This is a hands-on role making our award-winning smoked meats, chilli jams and other artisan products in small batches. You'll help with food production, packing orders and maintaining the high standards we're known for.
✨ We're looking for someone who is:
🥓 Reliable and enthusiastic
🌶️ Practical with a good eye for detail
👩‍🍳 Food production, catering or kitchen experience is a bonus (but not essential as full training will be given!)

💷 £13.00/hour (21+) | £11.00/hour (under 21)

📍 Please note: We're based in rural Penuwch, so you'll need your own transport or a reliable lift.
