🌱🐐 Exciting Changes at Balmers! 🐓✨

Now that we’ve closed the farm shop and cafe, we’re shifting our focus to improving our smallholding. Many of you know we run a SEND provision, and this summer, we’re working hard to enhance our facilities here at Balmers.

We have a variety of animals and deliver qualifications in both animal care and horticulture. We also use our animals for therapeutic purposes. As a community interest company, everything we do is not-for-profit, relying on self-funding and fundraising.

To help with our next phase, we’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for creating a new goat and chicken field. This involves fencing off two new areas, with much of the funding coming from our own pockets. We would truly appreciate any support, whether financial or simply by sharing our post!

Additionally, we’ll continue selling Nannie’s knitted teddies and animals through the honesty egg shed in Wigginton starting tomorrow! 🥰

And if you’re missing your fresh, free range eggs, whilst the shop is changing to new ownership, we have plenty in stock at Alfred’s egg shed for £2.50 per 1/2 dozen.
