Aye, CORIANDER. We’re practically a Michelin-star restaurant at this point. ⭐🤣

It’s homemade, it’s roasting hot, and it’s got vegetables in it, so you can tell yourself you’re being healthy before demolishing a roll stuffed with bacon and tattie scones. 🤷‍♀️🐷

And before anybody asks… YES, it’s supposed to be orange. It’s CARROT soup, no Heinz tomato. 🙄🤣

Right, troops, a wee public service announcement before anybody starts rattling the door at 7am wondering where the hell we’ve disappeared to! 🤣

NANNETTE’S ABANDONING SHIP FOR THE WEEK! 🚢👋

She’s away enjoying a well-earned break while I’m left holding the fort… with FOUR WEANS OFF SCHOOL into the bargain! 😭🤣

So, to preserve what little sanity I’ve got left, we’re making a wee change to our opening hours!

📅 12TH – 19TH OCTOBER 2026
⏰ 8AM – 2PM

That’s 8AM instead of our usual 7AM!

And before anybody says, “Oh, you’ll enjoy an extra hour in bed”…

ABSOLUTELY NOT. 🤣

I’ll have probably refereed six arguments, listened to 47 complaints, threatened to cancel Christmas and contemplated running away to a remote island before I’ve even opened the shop! 🙃

We’ll still be serving all your usual breakfast rolls, hot food and daily dose of nonsense… just an hour later than normal! 🥓🍳

So if you’re standing outside at 7am, peering through the window like a Victorian orphan waiting on a sausage roll, that’s entirely on you. WE WARNED YE! 🤣

Normal hours will resume after the holidays!

🐶💩 A WEE POLITE REMINDER… although we’re rapidly running out of polite. 🙃

If your dog does a sh*te outside the shop, PICK. IT. UP. It really is that simple.

We are directly across from a school, meaning children, parents, customers and our staff are constantly walking along here — nobody should have to dodge piles of dog sh*te on their way past. 🤢

We absolutely love dogs. ❤️
Their sh*te? Not so much.

So please, if your furry pal decides the pavement outside The Last Post is the perfect place to empty its bowels…

Because leaving it lying there for somebody else to stand in is disgusting, unhygienic and just plain clatty.
