Saturday 29th August at the Stag Hunt pub in Ponsanooth 5-8pm,

Pop on down for our sell out Butter Chicken or Butter Paneer, plus vegan Chickpea Makhani, all served with rice, naan, pomegranate, chilli 🌶️ & coriander. If you like yours spicy, we’ll add on the amazing spice made by Suyaman local to Falmouth.

Kiddos won’t miss out, there’ll be pasta, and homemade pesto using Soul Farm leaves :)

We’ll be at The Stag Hunt pub this Saturday 29th August in Ponsanooth.

A community trying hard to save their village pub from closure, it’s an honour to help them.

We’re cooking up a slow cooked pulled beef chilli, or celeriac & roasted squash chilli - both served with rice, avocado, crema, pico de gallo & totopos.

They have loads on all day starting 2pm, we’ll be serving 5-8pm and then there’s a family friendly quiz after.

Documenting the graft behind our Top Garden Feasts… 🌿🔥

Before the dreamy long‑table dinners and golden‑hour magic, there was work.
Hard, sweaty, heatwave‑level work.

It’s so easy to scroll past perfect pictures on Instagram - but the reality?
We were overwhelmed at times. The top garden had been untouched the whole time we ran the café, so it was wild. Overgrown. A full jungle situation.

Cue:
✂️ Cutting hedges taller than us
💪 Dragging them down those steep steps
🐝 Discovering a wasp nest (they definitely let us know about it…)
🌞 Working through the hottest days of the summer

Was it worth it?
Absolutely. Every sting, every scratch, every sweaty afternoon.

But it feels good to show the real bits — the graft, the mess, the effort — that make the feast days feel even more magical.

So, what did you do last Saturday?

popped up in our top garden & wowed our guests with incredible fresh food sourced right here in Cornwall.

We loved the community feeling of passing platters and everyone chatting to each other.

Big shout out to Mackerel Sky, they arrived with a full load, but before taking this up, they helped with all the loaned tables & benches up those steps, and at the end of the night, they helped take everything back down. Jamie & Nina, Paul & Steph are amazing, they work hard & deserve every accolade they receive.

Thank you to Noah, who literally ran up & down those steps all night, and to Andi from for supporting our first feast in the garden - her place is incredible btw and she has an eye for detail, no wonder won best boutique stay.

Why not pop on down to the Wednesday evening pop ups .tregew for street food, music, drinks and incredible views across Falmouth Bay. They’ve been amazing so far :))
