Truro City Council was pleased to deliver Our Great Little Kids Club as part of its 2026 - 2030 Strategy. This project aligns with Objective 1b - Our Communities, to provide and support a range of inclusive events across Truro, and Objective 4b - Our Economy, to encourage increased footfall by providing community events and promoting Truro as a visitor destination.

Don't forget that you can take part in FREE family fun this summer with Our Great Little Kids Club, a programme of exciting weekday activities designed for primary school-aged children!

Join us every weekday from 2pm – 3pm in Victoria Gardens Bandstand (with Tuesday sessions taking place at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery). These fun sessions are running until 28th August ⏰

🎪 Mondays – Swamp Circus
🏛️ Tuesdays – Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery (these sessions will take place in the Learning Room at the museum on River Street)
📖 Wednesdays – Truro Community Library

🌿 Fridays – Truro's Countryside Rangers

𝐕𝐉 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞

This Saturday, 15th August, there will be a short remembrance service in Victoria Gardens, led by the Truro Branch of the Royal British Legion, to commemorate Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day) on 15th August 1945, marking the end of the Second World War.

⏰Service begins at 11.00am (Gathering from 10.30am)

Throughout the day, residents and visitors are invited to visit Victoria Gardens, where they can reflect and pay their respects at the Burma Star Association (Truro Branch) plaque, dedicated to the memory of Earl Mountbatten of Burma, the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in South East Asia. This plaque is located at the top of the gardens, near Pollen.

Truro City Council's Our Great Little Kids Club returns from Monday 3rd to Friday 28th August, bringing four weeks of exciting activities for primary school-aged children.

Join us every weekday from 2pm–3pm at the Victoria Gardens Bandstand (with Tuesday sessions taking place at Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery).

New for 2026! Swamp Circus joins the programme with interactive circus skills, including juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, comedy acrobatics and plenty of opportunities for children to get involved 🤹

🦔 Don't forget! The popular Denzel the Hedgehog Trail also returns from 25th July to 31th August, with FREE activity packs available from Truro Community Library and Truro Visitor Information Centre. This year's trail is joined by returning favourites alongside several new businesses taking part across the city.

hello from little pollen! 🌱🌷🌳
this season we really feel like we have nestled in nicely to the gardens and the natural surroundings.

we have our very own asbo robin that likes a nibble on your cake crumbs and to fly inside occasionally (much to our horror), and we are constantly rescuing confused insects from the cabin. squirrels scuttle all around us, and wood pigeons crash about in the trees.

it’s a special place to be ♥️
