A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at Tregew Food Barn this Wednesday and last Wednesday.

For a small new food business like ours every customer means a lot. Your support, your kind words and most importantly the confidence and trust you have placed in our food has genuinely meant so much to us.

We started The Cornish Chai House with a simple idea…

To bring authentic Pakistani flavours to Cornwall and share the food we grew up loving.

Seeing people come back for more and hearing your feedback has given us the confidence to take the next step.

We will be offering catering for small gatherings and events with freshly prepared Pakistani food made to order.

Whether it is a family gathering

A community event
Or simply a gathering of friends who love good food

We are still a small local business and we are growing one plate at a time. Your support has helped make this possible.

From our freshly cooked Peshawari Chapli Burger and Karachi Bun Kebab to crispy parathas and today’s special Qeema Biryani 🍛

And of course our Chana Chaat for those who discovered it at our tasting and haven’t stopped thinking about it! 😋

Everything is prepared with traditional Pakistani flavours and a whole lot of love.

🇵🇰 Food is how we say, “You matter.”

In Pakistan, food is so much more than something we eat.

It’s how we celebrate life’s happiest moments.

It’s how we comfort each other during life’s hardest moments.

When someone is in hospital, we rarely arrive empty handed. We bring home cooked food, hoping to offer a little comfort to both the patient and their family.

And when we cook something we’re especially proud of, the first thought is often, “Let’s send some to the neighbours and family.” Sharing good food is simply part of who we are.

Perhaps the biggest compliment you can give a Pakistani host is to enjoy what they’ve prepared, because if you try to leave our home without having something to eat, don’t be surprised if you’re gently persuaded to stay a little longer!

Food is our way of saying:

Welcome.

We’re glad you’re here.

You belong.

When we started The Cornish Chai House, we didn’t just want to bring the flavours of Pakistan to Cornwall.

We wanted to bring this tradition too.

A tradition where every meal is shared, every guest is treated like family and every table has room for one more.

Because the best memories are rarely made by eating alone.
