The Beer Cavalier Just a man, standing in front of a pub asking for local beers. Beer tours, beer talks, beer reviews. West Kent was the first place in the entire UK to grow hops.

Since then the connection between this part of the country and beer has been a powerful and history-shaping one. My dream as The Beer Cavalier is to explore the great beers and brilliant history of beer - why not come along for the ride? Who am I? I'm a historian, university lecturer, educator, home brewer, beer society founder & president and just a general lover of local beers who wants to share his passion and knowledge with you.
