🐔 Introducing Harbro’s England poultry team
We’re delighted to strengthen our poultry offering across England with the appointment of John Thornborrow as Senior Poultry Specialist, working alongside Bethan Robinson, Trainee Poultry Specialist.
Together, John and Bethan bring a great mix of extensive industry experience, fresh thinking and a real focus on supporting poultry producers to achieve the best from their businesses.
👋 Meet John Thornborrow
John brings an impressive 30 years of experience within the compound feed industry, having built his career across three organisations and gained a wealth of experience in sales, nutrition and customer support along the way.
This marks John’s second spell with Harbro, and he is relishing the opportunity to support customers and drive business development across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
A key focus for John is helping producers manage risk within increasingly challenging commodity markets, while ensuring feeding programmes continue to meet performance requirements and evolving retailer demands.
Having spent three decades in the industry, John says one of the most rewarding parts of his role is now supporting and developing colleagues, helping them progress their own careers while delivering real value and financial return for customers.
👋 Meet Bethan Robinson
Bethan joined Harbro in January 2026 as a Trainee Poultry Specialist, covering farms across England.
Originally from Northamptonshire, Bethan has strong agricultural roots through her family and involvement in Young Farmers, which helped shape her passion for the industry from an early age.
She went on to graduate from Harper Adams University with an Honours degree in Agriculture, developing a strong foundation in livestock systems and farm management alongside a growing interest in poultry production.
Since joining Harbro, Bethan has been involved in a number of exciting on-farm trials and projects, as well as carrying out flock reviews and farm visits. She particularly enjoys working closely with producers, learning about different systems and continuing to build her knowledge of the poultry sector.
With John’s wealth of experience and Bethan’s growing expertise and enthusiasm, we’re excited about what this team can bring to poultry producers across the country.
