Hey everyone! Please note our reduced opening hours for this week. We’ll open at 6pm on Thursday 11 Sept, Friday 12 Sept and Saturday 13 Sept and close as usual around 10pm.

After tonight for the remainder of the week you’ll be in the capable hands of my brilliant wife and the First Lady of Glass Half Full Saz! Be nice!

We’re open tonight for our Wine and Crisp Pairing Event which kicks off at 7pm. See those of you coming along later!

Only 4 tickets remaining for our Wine and Crisp pairing event on Weds 9 Sept! The event will be led by the wonderful Alex Stephenson from the Thames Valley Wine School and it’s going to be a great evening!

Don’t miss out on what is surely going to be the best wine and crisp event based in a wine bar taking place in the RG10 area this week.

In all the excitement of the week I forgot to reveal the winners of this week’s quiz double header!!!

Wednesday’s quiz winners following a nail biting tie-break were the beautifully named Good Golly Not Dolly who took home the wonderful prize of a Wills and Kate engagement ashtray. In the age of a progressive and modern Royal Family I’m sure you’ll agree nothing screams out the future more than a receptacle for stubbing out a cigarette! God bless ‘em all!

Thursday’s prize of a Wills and Kate engagement mug (thanks to Age Concern Twyford!) went to Quizzy Biscuits. Just look at their faces - delight!

We’ll be running our next quizzes on Weds 7 and Thurs 8 Oct and spaces are filling up fast.

On the subject of things filling up fast…we still have limited spaces left for our Wine and Crisp Pairing on Weds 9 Sept at 7pm led by the beautiful Alex Stephenson from the Thames Valley Wine School. £30 per person for six samples of wines and some amazing salty snacks! Let me know if you want to come down!

Looking for a lovely way to spend your Saturday afternoon? We’re running our regular Saturday afternoon wine tastings at between 1pm-5pm today.

Choose any 3 glasses from our menu and specials board to enjoy with a cheese/charcuterie platter - all for £30 per person.

The bar is open from midday til 10pm so see you there!

The good thing about holding a quiz on consecutive days is that you get to put the same post on socials two days in a row! Except I’ve now written this explanation which means I may as well have put something new up. Hey ho!

Round 2 of Twyford’s premier wine bar-based quiz takes place this evening from 7.30pm at - all tables are booked so if need a cheeky wine fix when bear that in mind!

We’re fully booked with teams tonight and given the demand we’re running another quiz tomorrow night - 7.30pm start again!

Some absolute quiz prize gold in the Age Concern shop window today! 🥰

On that note - our next quiz takes place on Weds 2 Sept. It booked out so quickly we’ve decided to run another one the following day on Thurs 3 Sept. This is also fully booked!

The quiz’s run between 7.30pm-9.30pm so please bear that in mind if you’re thinking of popping in for an impromptu drink.

The following Wednesday (9 Sept) is our wine and crisp pairing evening - limited number of tickets are available!

For all you music junkies Vinyl Wednesday will return on Weds 16 Sept from 7pm.
