Good sourdough takes time, patience and a little bit of love… but just look at those beautiful results! 🍞🤎

There’s something so satisfying about turning a few simple ingredients into a gorgeous, crusty, homemade loaf.

So clever! Follow for me advice

I’m sorry, sourdough community, but I simply couldn’t wait! 😭🤣🍞

After 24 hours of patience, stretching, folding, shaping, proofing and baking… you’re telling me I have to wait EVEN LONGER before cutting into my beautiful sourdough?!

I’M HUNGRY! I NEED MY SANDWICH! LIKE… NOW! 🤣🥪

But seriously, why should we let sourdough cool completely before slicing? 🤔

When bread comes out of the oven, the inside (the crumb) is still setting. As it cools:

🍞 The crumb firms up – making it less gummy and sticky.

🍞 Moisture redistributes – helping the bread develop a better texture.

🍞 Slicing becomes easier – you get cleaner slices without squashing that beautiful crumb.

🍞 The texture improves – giving you that lovely combination of crispy crust and soft, airy centre.

Ideally, allow your sourdough to cool for at least 1–2 hours, sometimes longer for larger loaves.

But today? Rules went out the window. 🤣

Warm homemade sourdough, a delicious sandwich and absolutely ZERO regrets.

And OMG… it was SO GOOD! 🤤❤️

Now tell me, sourdough lovers… are you patient enough to let your bread cool, or are you cutting into it while it’s still warm like me? 👀🤣

Sourdough is getting SERIOUS in this house! 🍞🤣❤️

Bread is life. Bread is happiness. And apparently, bread is our entire personality now. 😂

What started as a little baking experiment has officially turned into an obsession!

There’s just something so satisfying about making your own sourdough bread from scratch. The process, the smell, that gorgeous crunchy crust and the taste of freshly baked homemade bread. 😍

Simple ingredients. A little patience. Absolutely delicious results.

And yes, we’re already planning the next loaf before we’ve finished the last one. 🤣

Anyone else completely obsessed with sourdough baking? Or are we the only ones? 👀🍞
