This will be the furthest our bags are from home! Great to be in such a lovely store though and it’s even better that the family are from this area!

Delighted to stock Ruthy's Scones from Lochmaben in Dumfriesshire. The Lockerbie area is filled with special memories for our family ....Rob was born and brought up in the beautiful village of Waterbeck, we met while I was working at Annan Mart (lots of stories there!!) and 2 of our children were born in Dumfries. It’s a beautiful, friendly area of Scotland.

Since First Developed, This Has Been My Favourite.
Christmas 2019 will forever be a great time. It was the time when Ruthy's first introduced the salted caramel scone.

Salted caramel combines two great flavours, giving an effect that chefs call “flavour layering”. Salt also acts as an enhancer of flavour so that's why it makes caramel taste even better. With a generous amount of salted caramel chips that melt during the baking process oozing into the scone around it, these can be enjoyed on their own while still providing an amazing flavour.

🤩A version of a treacle scone🤩

Allyson Carlisle was was kind enough to share with us how she made her version of a treacle scone made with our Ruthy’s Luxury mixed fruit scone mix😍 Doesn’t this just look fab and so simple to create!!!!😋😋

Take 250g of scone mix
Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
Half a teaspoon of mixed spice

Take 120ml of milk and add 60g of black treacle and mix together. Add this gradually to the mix until you get the right consistency and bake for 10-12 minutes 😋 😋 😋

With Christmas right around the corner, tomorrow will be the last chance to order your delicious scones for the big day. We've been so busy working in the bakery, we cannot thank you enough for all your support and your orders, it has been such a massive help this year.

Monday at 12:00 is the cut off for getting scones before Christmas so don't miss out!
