Among all this, we moved to our new home! Based in the heart of The City, we have welcomed our winemakers from across the world, hosted masterclasses, taught WSET courses, and continued everything that makes Bibendum so unique.
It’s been a big year to say the least. Thank you for joining our journey.

Sandwiched between Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Chateau Pontet-Canet, Chateau d’Armailhac is in good company on the banks of Pauillac.
Our Wine Buyer for Bordeaux, Andy Craig, has chosen the 2016 vintage as one of his top picks for Christmas – rich, ripe and served alongside a festive feast in a decanter. For larger Christmas parties, we also have magnums and other large formats.

To find value for money in Bordeaux, second wines are the answer; especially when you’re looking within the outstanding vintages such as 2016.
La Parde is the second wine of the iconic Chateau Haut Bailly. There’s a signature smoky element derived from the gravel soils in Pessac, which brings a liveliness to the wine. According to the chateau’s head chef, the wine is delicate enough to pair with white meat, like pork of fattier fish dishes.

Bursting with cherries and black berries, the Lynch Bages 2015 is a true delight alongside a festive feast.
The iconic Pauillac wine is ideal for the top end of a by-the-glass listing – we also sell larger formats which are ideal for Coravin pours.

Coming to you directly from the vineyards of Saint Emillion, Wine Buyer for Bordeaux Andy Craig shows us some of his top picks from Bordeaux for this festive season.
Mondot is the second wine from the famous Chateau Troplong Mondot, made from a single parcel of younger vines. This wine marks the beginning of their new era of winemaking – made to be fresh and ready for earlier drinking, it has vibrant red fruits, and incredible structure.

Merlin Ramos, Head Sommelier at Town Restaurant, knows a thing or two about putting together a dream wine list. Especially when it comes to the wines of France and finding the best bubbles.

He joined us at our Autumn tasting, Let Us Drink Wine, to help build the ultimate wine selection. Meeting new producers and tasting through some of his favourite regions, he shows us how to bring creativity and flare to your wine list. Whether it be a new killer Corpinnat from Castellroig Vins de Terrer Sabate i Coca , Haut Lauguedoc with a twist from Domaine du Météore, some English bubbles with Weyborne Estate or a new Provence classic from Château Roubine Cru Classé – there were countless new wines to discover.

Our annual Portfolio Tasting, Moments in Wine, is your chance to meet with iconic winemakers from across the globe, including Brett Jackson, Head Winemaker at Valdivieso.

After working in wineries across France, South Africa, the USA and New Zealand, the Kiwi winemaker settled in Chile during the country’s ‘wine boom’ in the 1990s. He came on as Head Winemaker at Valdivieso in 2001 and was tasked with creating the new flagship wine, Caballo Loco: a solera style blend using 50% current vintage with 50% of the previous edition.

Brett sees his role as winemaker similar to that of a chef, as he explained in an interview with The Buyer, “I approach wine as if it were a culinary creation, considering what adds richness to food, whether it’s sugar or oil, and how to keep the palate engaged and craving more. This might involve adding elements like vinegar or chilli, for instance.”
