I bake as a hobby which I enjoy very much, when I get the time. At the moment I specialise in cupcakes but will be looking to also do larger cakes and hopefully novelty cakes for various occasions soon. Despite having this page to show my cakes, I class myself as a hobby baker, not a professional. It's mainly for that reason I've never wanted to make a wedding cake, for a real wedding (the other reason being the pressure of making it good enough for someone's wedding). So when it fell to me (obviously) to make a cake for my mum and dad's golden wedding anniversary, mum asked if I could recreate their wedding cake. Although I was a little unsure I could pull it off, I was more than happy with the result. The black and white picture is the original wedding cake, and my cake was as close as I could manage from the pictures we had of the original, with a few changes in terms of colour scheme, as it had to be gold for a golden wedding anniversary.

Bit late as always, posting my Christmas bakes, but managed quite a bit of baking last Christmas. A chocolate orange yule log, a brownie yule log, 2 Christmas cakes, and a not so Christmassy (except the board and decorations) Victoria sponge.
