Weekend fact share! A few things you might not know about us...⁠

🤎 We’re a mother & daughter team (and yes, we still like each other after spending all weekend in a Land Rover together).⁠
⁠
🐾 Our official Wavi mascot, Marnie, recently turned FOUR! Expect extra treats and even more attention than usual.⁠
⁠
🎪 We’ve now traded at 65+ events across the South West and beyond, serving thousands of coffees along the way.⁠
⁠
🚫 Alison actually can’t drink coffee. Running a coffee business without drinking coffee yourself feels slightly ironic, but here we are. She did the tasting, and checks in at dial-in to know the coffee we’re serving - just buzzed after!⁠

🚙 Wavi started life as an ex-Environment Agency Land Rover that we bought completely unseen from Facebook marketplace. Thankfully, it turned out to be one of our best decisions.⁠

☕ Amy’s go-to coffee order? A flat white - classic and hard to beat.⁠

At every event you’ll always find a selection of vegan pastries alongside our GF cakes, because sometimes a coffee just deserves something flaky.⁠
⁠
Our vegan cinnamon bun is soft, sticky, perfectly spiced and one of those things people spot in the cabinet before they’ve even ordered anything else.⁠
⁠
If you ever see one left when you arrive... we’d recommend grabbing it before the person behind you does. 😉⁠

It’s probably one of the questions we’re asked most often. And whilst we completely understand why (nobody likes a lukewarm coffee), our answer is usually a gentle no.⁠
⁠
Here’s why.⁠
⁠
When milk is heated beyond its sweet spot, the proteins begin to break down. The result? You lose the natural sweetness, silky texture and creamy mouthfeel that make a great flat white or latte of ours so enjoyable.⁠
⁠
Then there’s the coffee itself.⁠
⁠
We proudly serve sustainably sourced coffee from Origin Coffee, where an incredible amount of care goes into growing, sourcing, roasting and profiling every bean. When coffee is served too hot, many of those delicate flavour notes simply disappear. Instead of tasting the chocolate, caramel, fruit or nutty notes intended by the roaster, all you’ll really taste is... hot.⁠
⁠
We’re not in the business of serving coffee that’s too hot to drink for the next 20 minutes. We’d rather serve it at the temperature where both the milk and coffee shine. 😉⁠
⁠
So next time you see us carefully steaming milk, know we’re not being fussy. We’re simply trying to give you the very best version of the coffee in your cup.⁠

Take our vegan coffee and walnut cake, which two of the indie bakeries who we work with make, both without dairy or eggs!⁠
⁠
And it’s not the only one: every cake we serve is either vegan or gluten-free, and every single one is made locally by independent bakers we trust, have tasted ourselves (someone has to do it!) and love. ⁠

For us, it’s simple: supporting local makers, keeping it inclusive, and making sure your coffee break is something to genuinely look forward to.⁠
