This weekend marks one whole month of . Flipping fastest month ever if you ask me.
It’s been exciting/nervewracking/mindblowing building something new. 'Will anyone actually want to come?!' has long been playing on our minds. But seeing loads of our Pop Up taproom regulars making the journey over has made our space feel like home straight away. At the same time, we’ve met loads of lovely new faces too, which has been fab! Welcome to the cause, newbies!
Some days have been absolutely heaving. Some have been properly quiet. But that’s all part of the learning curve, init? We’re figuring things out as we go, seeing what works, what people like, what this place can become and how we can build a little community of likeminded folk in a little ol' industrial unit hidden behind Kirkgate train station.
A month in and it is already starting to feel like more than just somewhere to drink beer. People bringing their dogs, kids colouring in on tables, mates catching up, random conversations between strangers, someone popping in for “just one” and staying all afternoon. It's heartwarming and we're so pleased to see it. Did we ever think we'd be full-time publicans AND brewers? I guess we did a bit, and seeing a little dream come to life is wonderful.
And we've got so much more to give: Thursday Nights are officially 'things' nights, with Bingo every 1st Thursday a Quiz every 3rd Thursday
Both running early doors (6–8pm), because it is a school night after all. Bring the family, come for a couple of beers, or be home in your pyjamas by 9pm - YESSS!
We’ve also got plans for makers markets, craft events, music, beer tastings and brewery tours… because you are literally in a brewery and it would be nice to chat about what we do here to anyone that wants to listen.
Anyway. Thanks for spending this first month with us. Whether you’ve visited once, every weekend, told a mate about us, shared a post, or just cheered us on, we appreciate you loads.
