A great day at mart today in Hay for the last Saturday Market of 2026 with Hay Markets

Nearly sold out of fungi candles with all the mycologists enjoying and my new 'adult' candles were a great hit too😁, don't zoom in too hard if you're easily offended😉

The heather honey also went down a storm so I'd better get bottling the rest of it 💪

One of my favourite parts of market is the bartering between traders, honey for olive oil and dog treats, mead for wooden chopping boards and fudge. Fair exchange is no robbery as my Dad was fond of saying😁

Oh and Jack, you can enjoy the plantain balm for giving me your lovely jarred cakes a while back, hope it helps.

Long live cash and bartering and a lovely Autumn day.

Finally! All ready for the last Saturday Market with Hay Markets and is on too!!

I'll be in my usual spot below the Castle steps with honey, beeswax candles, natural skincare and of course some Fungi themed candles.

I also managed to jar up a small amount of Heather honey too. Come along and try it.

I'm a bit of a foraging enthusiast myself and love nothing more than rummaging through the woods and fields to find field Mushrooms, chanterelles, ceps and any else to wonder over.

I've got lots of fungi candles curing in moulds at the moment and will post more pics tomorrow.

I've been so busy extracting in the honey room I've barely had time to take many pics, I did manage to get out shrooming with dawg though!

Definitely Autumn now 😁

I might be a candle, balm, polish short for market tomorrow, because I seem to have been endlessly extracting and bottling.

But a quick calculation tells me I've already bottled over 200kg of honey!!😬😁
