💦 📢 ROAD CLOSURES INFORMATION 🔊 JUST SO YOU ALL HAVE A LITTLE CLARIFICATION REGARDING THE MARKET LANE ROAD CLOSURE

As some of you may have seen in the recent posts from Anglian Water with the upcoming works on Market Lane, the information may be a little confusing for our customers so we would like to politely point out the current situation. ⬇️
MARKET LANE FROM A17, INTO WALPOLE ST ANDREW IS NOT CURRENTLY CLOSED.!

WE ARE ALL OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS USUAL!

The works are currently scheduled to commence from 21st September, and we want to reassure all our dining customers and farmshop customers that we ARE CURRENTLY AND WILL STILL REMAIN open throughout the work!
(this includes all of the other working businesses within the units here at Old farm

Once the works begin, we’ll provide regular updates here on our page to help our customers navigate any temporary road closures or changes to access.

We don’t wish for any worry — you can still visit the butchery and farmshop, all bookings are still booked in with the restaurant and you can still turn up and enjoy the surrounding businesses too.

We are extremely fortunate to have such an amazing team here between both Samuels & Brothers.!! Mark & Sophie took on a big catering booking for a stunning wedding, from the organisation, to the heavy prep in the kitchen and all of the butchery from Ben & the boys, to Chef Ian, FOH Sarah & Kieren who then went to serve up all of the stunning food below ⬇️ there honestly isnt a day goes by where both team are working endlessly but this was such a great day from start finish and i think we can safley say between both sides of the buisness the whole team absolutely smashed it.! 🔥

Nothing better than blue skies and sunshine than coming to visit our amazing farmshop and butchers & the restaurant.! ☀️ we have had some stunning new deliveries this week with more on the way, not only locally sourced butchery produce but some great appetisers, condiments and treats too (even a few from further afield meaning we have some delicious items in store for gluten free & celiacs) 💃🏼

🚧 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS 🚧

Many of you may already be aware that Anglian Water will soon be carrying out major works in Walpole St Peter and Walpole St Andrew.

These works are expected to continue until March 2027 and will involve a number of road closures, diversions and temporary traffic management measures.

Our current understanding of the works is as follows:

📍 24th August – 21st September: Market Lane will be closed north of the A17.

📍 21st September – 18th December: Market Lane will be closed south of the A17.

🚦 Temporary traffic lights will also be in place at the Market Lane and Chalk Road junction between 21st September and 18th December.

The good news is that Samuel’s Farm Shop and Brothers In Arms will remain OPEN throughout the works, and you will still be able to access us.

We know from previous road closures just how challenging these disruptions can be for local businesses. Your continued support means everything to our family, our staff and the many other independent businesses in the area.

Please don’t let the diversions put you off visiting us. Whether you’re popping into the farm shop, enjoying breakfast, joining us for lunch, enjoying dinner at the restaurant or simply stocking up on your favourite produce, we’ll still be here and ready to welcome you.

As the works progress from one phase to the next, we will keep our customers updated on a weekly basis. We will share regular updates across our social media channels and provide as many clear directions and diversion notices as possible to help you find the easiest route to us.

We would be incredibly grateful if you could share this post to help spread the word and support local businesses during this period.
