WE DID IT. £15,000 TARGET HIT. ❤️ 🍻

We’ve been so busy cracking on with the Digbeth build that we haven’t posted a proper update for a little while.

And somewhere along the way, 97 of you pushed us straight through our original £15,000 Crowdfunder target.

We’re now at £15,465, with 19 days still to go.

Honestly, thank you. The support has been incredible.

The work definitely hasn’t slowed down either. The brewery area is taking shape, the new floor is going in, the outside space is being enclosed and there’s been a LOT happening behind the scenes.

Next week we’re installing the taps, which should make the place start feeling much more like an actual taproom. 🍻

We’ve also added our first stretch target of £20,000, with anything above the original target helping us increase fermentation capacity at the new brewery.

And if we can push beyond that, we’ve already got something a bit more exciting in mind too: a dedicated New Invention barrel-aged b**r programme at Digbeth. 👀

We’ll be doing a proper clean-up next week and then filming a full video walkthrough so you can see exactly how far the place has come.

THE BREWERY IS STARTING TO TAKE SHAPE. 🍻

We’ve been cracking on with the Digbeth build and one of the latest jobs has been building the wall around the brewing area.

At the same time, the Crowdfunder has reached £14,005 from 80 supporters, 93% of our £15,000 target.

We’re now only £995 away from hitting the original target, which is honestly incredible.

We’ve already set a stretch target for what comes next. Once we hit £15,000, the next goal is £20,000, with the extra funding going towards increasing fermentation capacity at Digbeth.
And if we can push beyond that, we’d love to start a dedicated barrel-aged b**r programme at the new brewery.

WE’VE BEEN SO BUSY WITH THE DIGBETH RENOVATIONS, WE DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE WE’D SMASHED THROUGH £12,000. 🍻

We’re now at £12,530 from 64 supporters, which means we’re already 83% of the way to our £15,000 target with 30 days still to go.

Honestly, thank you. The support has been incredible.

Meanwhile, work at Digbeth has been moving fast, so here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to behind the scenes.

There’s still plenty to do, but it’s starting to feel more and more like New Invention every day.

IT’S STARTING TO LOOK LIKE OURS. 🍻

The temporary New Invention sign is up at Digbeth and work is moving quickly inside.

We’re now at £8,700 from 49 supporters on the Crowdfunder, which means we’re already well over halfway to our £15,000 target.

We’re very sorry but unfortunately, due to staff sickness, we are unable to open tonight!

We’re really sorry for the short notice and any inconvenience caused, and we really appreciate your understanding!

The good news is we’ll be open as normal on Friday (5-10PM) and Saturday (2-10PM) bringing you our newest brews and fresh pizza 🍕🍻

So we will see you then!

On Monday at 7pm we’re launching the New Invention Digbeth Crowdfunder.
We’ve got the keys, the lease is signed and the work has started. Digbeth is happening.
The Crowdfunder is about helping us make the new brewery and taproom as good as it can be from day one.

We’ve put together a load of rewards, including extra value bar credit, exclusive Digbeth merch, a private Supporters’ Preview Night, the chance to name a b**r or one of our fermenters, and even come and brew a b**r with us.
And importantly, all Crowdfunder bar credit can be used at either Bloxwich or Digbeth.

So… this is the vision. 👀🍻

A lot of people have been asking what we want the new Digbeth site to look like, so we’ve put together some early concept images to show the kind of space we’re aiming to create.

Think industrial brewery taproom, loads of character, plenty of seating, b**r brewed on site, outdoor space, street food and room for live music and events.

These are concept visuals only, not final plans, but they give a good idea of the direction we want to take things in.

There’s a lot of work ahead, but we’re incredibly excited about what this place could become.

And for everyone asking, our Bloxwich taproom continues as normal ❤️

We’ve also got something important to announce on Friday about how you can get involved and help us bring this vision to life.

WE'RE MOVING TO DIGBETH. 🍻

After months of planning, searching, paperwork and keeping this quiet... we finally have the keys to the new home of New Invention Brewery.

We're taking over 148 Adderley Street in Digbeth, Birmingham, and we're going to turn it into our new brewery and taproom.

This is by far the biggest step we've taken since starting New Invention.

There's a LOT of work to do and it starts next week, but the plans are big: a bigger brewery, a brand new taproom, outdoor drinking space, street food and a proper home for New Invention.

We'll be documenting the whole build from empty unit to opening day.

And there's one more part of this we're really excited about...

We're going to give you the chance to help us build it and become part of the new brewery from day one.
