Join us on Sunday 27th September when we'll be teaming up with the wonderful Crates of Wool, Ware's independent yarn shop, to bring you Sip & Crochet: an afternoon of gentle crafting, good wine, and good company.

Deb from Crates of Wool will be guiding guests through crocheting their very own wine glass cover - a satisfying little project to take home at the end of the afternoon. All materials, equipment, and instructions are provided on the day. Guests should be comfortable with basic crochet stitches before attending, but you don't need to be experienced - if you're unsure whether this one is right for you, just drop us a line and we'll help you decide.

While you work, you'll have your pick of any three small glasses from our wines by the glass menu. Light nibbles will be served throughout to keep things going.

An afternoon for makers and sippers alike - and anyone who fancies going home with something handmade and a gentle glow 😊

NEW (OLD) PRODUCT ALERT!

They've been gone for a few years, but three stunning premium rums from Hattiers Rum have just landed back on our shelves and they very much deserve your attention!

Hattiers are based in Devon and blend their rums from carefully selected casks sourced from distilleries across the Caribbean, Central America, and beyond, finishing each blend with pure Dartmoor spring water. They're also the UK's first B Corp certified rum, which tells you something about how seriously they take what they do. No added colour, sugar, flavourings, or spices. Just quality rum, as it should be.

Here's what we have:

🥃 Egremont Premium Reserve. A blend of four cask-aged rums from Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Guatemala. Rich toffee and cacao on the nose, cinnamon and black pepper spice in the glass, and a long, fruity, creamy finish. This is a good one to start your premium rum adventure with.

🥃 Eminence Blended Aged White. Don't let the colour fool you. This is a complex aged rum, carbon filtered to remove the colour of the barrel while keeping all the flavour. Vanilla, pineapple, and a long creamy finish. Makes a seriously good Daiquiri!

🥃 Resolute Navy Strength. At 54.5% ABV, this one means business. Toasted brown sugar, charred oak, and a big hit of tropical fruit, with banana cream on the finish. Popular with whisky lovers as much as rum fans. A Rum Old Fashioned with this is something special.

This month's wines by the glass...

Highlights include an amphora-aged white from Portugal made the ancient way, a Gavi and a Barolo from the same Piedmont family who've farmed the same hills since 1725, and an English Pinot Gris from a small family winery in Cambridgeshire. On the red side there's a soft, fruity Ardèche blend, a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from five generations of the same family, and a full-bodied Australian Shiraz from Langhorne Creek to finish things off.
