Watching grain turn into fresh flour never gets old!
Thereโ€™s something very satisfying about baking with flour youโ€™ve milled yourself, especially when the bread comes out of the oven.

With a Mockmill, you can mill fresh flour at home in minutes, then use a sieve to sift out some of the bran and husk if you fancy a lighter flour.

Following on from milling the Yellow wheat grain, here it is baked!
Does anyone else get this excited cutting into a loaf for the first time?!

As I mention in the video, this dough had a bit of a journey: shaped, taken on the tube, then into the fridge for 2 nights before finally being baked! So the results could be quite different if Iโ€™d stuck to a more practised timeline.

Itโ€™s also worth mentioning that this loaf was made with 100% home-milled Yellow wheat grain, no strong bread flour added.

Ingredients:
โ€ข 220g water (plus two additional 10g increments)
โ€ข 60g starter
โ€ข 300g freshly milled flour
โ€ข 6g salt
