Townsend Farm Equine: Alternative Livery System

One of my friends and previous liveries who I highly recommend personally and professionally. Wishing you lots of success Kim❤️🐴

What's in a name?

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that my page has still been called Equine Podiatry Student.

Now that I've officially qualified, I thought it was time to update it!

So... drum roll, please... 🥁

Introducing

✨ Keep Striding Hoof Care ✨

Choosing a business name wasn't as straightforward as I expected. I had lots of ideas and even wondered whether I wanted a business name at all.

To me, the name Keep Striding represents always moving forward and never stopping learning. Horses have a wonderful way of keeping us humble - every single one has something different to teach us. No matter how much experience you gain, there's always something new to learn.

It's also my own initials... 😊

I'm now available for appointments on Thursdays, with some flexibility for other days where possible - so please feel free to get in touch 📣

The herd are really appreciating us creating extra beds in one of the barns during the cold weather. 🐴❤️

Care, love and kindness. 💕❤️

So excited to see some pea pods in my yard planter. Enough for a little snack in between yard chores for the last few days. The horses do not have access to these!! 😂

Topping up surfaces is always exciting!

Chilled afternoon wander with one of my best friends ever. Grazing whatever she wants/chooses. She deserves it. ❤️❤️

This was full of Barley Grass just two minutes ago! Turned my back to get something else and it’s gone!

Steady introductions with our lovely new livery Bella sharing with existing livery, Midnight.

Putting hay under fence/barrier lines is a great way to start horses who have not been in a herd learn to share food.

These initial stages are great to help you observe behaviour and work out the next step. I never have a plan when introducing new horses to the herd. Watch, learn and try to make intuitive decisions for your herd❤️🐴
