Established in 1848, the Grade II Listed Leighton Model Farm now home to Yorton Farm Stud, was designed to be a state of the art farm by John Naylor and is widely regarded as an architectural showpiece of national historic importance. Its transformation today into a national hunt stud farm standing an exciting roster of stallions, is fitting to the aspirations of its original owner and has been re

alised by current owners James and Jean Potter, who along with ourselves are committed to creating an industry leading National Hunt breeding operation. Here at Yorton Farm we have built state of the art facilities for standing stallions, boarding mares and foaling, not to mention the 200 acres of extensive grazing. Vast sheds that once housed the estate’s furnicular railway have become home to 6 yards containing 100 boxes, over 4 acres of victorian buildings. Simply put, our aim is to produce high quality youngstock for the National Hunt industry. We are located just 50mins north of Birmingham, among the glorious rolling hills of the welsh borders, and you can always be assured of a warm welcome if you would like to visit the stud.
