Tractor/Machine Operator (Farm & Rural Estate)

We are looking for an experienced tractor operator, to join our team on a busy Christmas tree farm and rural estate near West Calder.

Key Duties
• Operating tractors for a variety of farm and estate tasks
• Land preparation, crop spraying and work on specialised Christmas Tree Tractor
• Assisting with wider farm operations when required

What We’re Looking For
• Proven tractor driving experience (essential)
• Good mechanical awareness and confidence with machinery
• Excavator experience and forklift/telehandler certification are an advantage but not essential

Contract & Benefits
• Permanent position
• Employed or self-employed arrangements considered
• Generous salary package with additional benefits and opportunities for career progression
• Varied work in a friendly rural environment
• Temporary accommodation available if required

🌲 A little reminder that the sun does occasionally shine at Harburn… ☀️

A couple of our Lodgepole Pines looking rather lovely in the field.

Lodgepoles are one of the more underrated Christmas trees we grow — lovely and bushy, with long needles and that proper Christmas tree smell. 🎄

They might not get quite as much attention as the Nordmann Fir, but they definitely have their fans!

Anyone on here a Lodgepole loyalist? Or have you never tried one? 🌲

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join our team.

This is a varied outdoor role working across our grounds maintenance business, private estate and Christmas tree farm, including gardening, grounds maintenance, estate work, tree planting and Christmas tree work.

Experience in gardening, farming, forestry, landscaping or grounds maintenance would be great, but isn’t essential.

💷 Pay:
• Self-employed – £15.50 per hour
• Employed – £13.00 per hour

🚗 Driving licence and own transport desirable due to our rural location.
🏠 Temporary accommodation may be available.
