We make all our own feed on site using locally sourced ingredients. We have been established since 1950's and is currently being run by father and son John and Guy Matchett.

Using our new white pullet eggs, I’m having slice of sourdough toast, wilted spinach and 2 small poached eggs πŸ˜‹ there’s no difference in our brown and white eggs as all our hens are fed the same feed. Which Guy mills on site using locally sourced ingredients πŸ™ŒπŸ» you literally can’t beat them.

Get back from the farmers market and whilst we were out, Arnie had decided to take himself for a walk round the farm! πŸ™„

It has come to our attention that our eggs were on sale at the β€˜over the water’ festival in New Brighton. A customer bought some and was charged Β£12.60!!!!!!!!! This pricing has NOTHING TO DO WITH US! We know our eggs are the best, but come on, πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ!! The farm is open in the mornings except Sunday, we have plenty of shops our eggs are sold in and we are at some farmers markets. Next ones are West Kirby on Saturday morning and Oxton on Sunday morning xx

As you can see they have changed colour 🀣 we now have white hens which will be laying white eggs. We have traditional brown eggs and the new white eggs. πŸ₯š

In light of the recent salmonella outbreak, this is to reassure our customers that our eggs are tested and we have a clear result for salmonella. Although we do not have the lion code stamp, we get all the checks done, we buy local feed and we mill it all on site to our own recipe. We know exactly what is going into our hen feed.
