Baddinsgill is a hill farm in the Pentland hills, south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders. 1400 Blackface sheep roam 4000 acres of stunning heather-clad landscape, alongside a handful of Highland cattle. Our lamb is second to none, sustainably reared on a diet of heather, berries, and wild grasses. It will soon be available to buy online – direct from the hill to your table.

Did you know that Scotland's peatlands are currently in such poor condition that they are actually releasing carbon rather than sequestering it?

It is estimated that they are contributing 20% of Scotland's total carbon emissions.

Baddinsgill Farm and Project L-and Community Enterprise are developing a peatland restoration project in the hills above West Linton. If you'd like to know more about the plans and why peatland restoration is a vital part of tackling climate change please come along to our drop in session.
