Squerryes since 1731

Squerryes since 1731 We've been in the business of creating joy for nearly 300 years and now we're bottling it: English sparkling wine | Dining | Wine experiences | Spaces to hire
(205)

Our Winery is nestled at the foot of the North Downs, at the heart of a working English estate, serving the very finest English sparkling wine from fruit grown high on the chalky escarpment of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Every year for the last 5 years we've won a gold medal in the World Championships for Champagne and Sparkling Wine for each of our signature release, vintage sparklin

g wines, testament to the quality of fruit we grow and our winemaking craft (we respect the tradition of double fermentation following the same method used in Champagne). We have a Winery restaurant, al fresco dining during the spring and summer months and inside, on the upper floor of the Winery during the winter months, serving delicious food using ingredients from our 2,500 acre estate and some wonderful producers from the Garden of England. We're open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday every day throughout the year. Find out more here: www.squerryes.co.uk

On the same site as the Winery is the Squerryes Estate Deli and Cellar Door. The deli is full of sweet and savoury treats, with a cheese counter celebrating over 40 British cheeses, in conjunction with Neals Yard Dairy of Borough Market. The Cellar Door is full of the best examples of still English wines that we have found from the British Isles alongside our Master of Wine, Laura Evans' selection of her favourite old and new world wines. Our full family of Squerryes sparkling wines, from young signature releases to aged vintages, including merchandise and gift boxes are also available to buy from the Cellar Door. We run tours of the vineyard and tastings of our award-winning Squerryes between Friday to Sunday. For more information on both please visit www.squerryes.co.uk

We also have a number of spaces across the estate for private hire and celebrations for up to 200 people. Find out more here: www.squerryes.co.uk/private-hire

Whatever it is that brings you to Squerryes, our priority is to make sure that when you leave, you take with you a memory that has our stamp on it: enjoyment and pleasure.

Tom’s path into winemaking began in New Zealand, where he trained in Viticulture and Oenology before joining Villa Maria, a producer closely tied to the global rise of Sauvignon Blanc.

From there, his experience took him through the US and Australia, before arriving in England in 2017. For over six years, he worked at Gusbourne Estate in Kent, contributing to a body of still and sparkling wines that helped define the region’s growing reputation.

He joined Squerryes at the point of its next chapter, taking on the role of Head Winemaker as the 2024 harvest came in.

His approach is shaped by that journey. Not to impose a fixed style, but to understand what the vineyard is capable of, and to build on it over time.

A long view, taken year by year.

Squerryes Court opens its gardens on Friday 15th May for one day only as part of the National Garden Scheme.

Often recognised for its connection to the Bridgerton filming locations, the house and gardens hold a longer story, shaped over generations and still evolving today.

Asparagus has arrived across the estate.

Now in the Deli and on the restaurant menu, it’s one of the clearest signs the season has shifted. Used simply, while it’s at its best.

A short window, but always a good one.

On our lunch and dinner menu, or available to buy in The Deli.
