Squid often gets ignored in favour of the more familiar stuff on the counter, which is a shame. It's fast to cook, takes flavour well, and when it's this fresh it doesn't need much. Score it, season it, 90 seconds in a very hot pan. Serve with lemon and chilli. Ask us to clean it for you if you'd rather not.

Father's Day is on the 21st June. Here's an idea.
Skip the novelty gift. Treat your dad to something proper instead. A whole dressed lobster, Portland crab, or a fillet of line-caught sea bass. We can prep it however you need. Order online for home delivery, or come in and we'll sort you out.

The theme is Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet 🌍

World leaders have committed to protecting 30% of the ocean by 2030. The goal is turning that commitment into real conservation outcomes, through properly regulated Marine Protected Areas that help rebuild fish populations and protect vital habitats.

It matters to us directly. We fish within some of the most protected coastal waters in the UK. The day boats we work with use lines, pots, and small nets, low-impact methods that work with the sea, not against it. Properly managed MPAs help rebuild fish populations and protect the habitats that make sustainable fishing possible in the first place.

That's what keeps our counter stocked with fish worth eating.
Strong ocean protection and good fishing go together. Always have.

Brown crab from the waters off Portland Bill is as good as it gets in the UK. June is prime season. Ours comes straight from the local pots, dressed in-house by the team. Eat it cold with good bread and butter, or let us talk you through a simple bisque if you want something a bit more involved.
