🌧️🐑 Little Lambs Adventure Club – What a Day! 🌿

Today was fantastic!
Paint‑covered hands, mud‑splashed wellies, unlimited animal snuggles, home‑baked cakes and hot drinks… it was everything we love about our Wednesdays on the farm.

We had great chats, loads of playtime, a cosy tipi to hide in, and extra outdoor gazebos to keep everyone dry and happy. The little ones were in their element.

We can’t wait for next Wednesday, September 9th. We’ll be making take‑home bird feed suet balls to help support our wildlife as the weather starts to change.

🌧️ Little Lambs Adventure Club – Important Update 🌿

Due to last‑minute storm warnings, we are unfortunately having to postpone tomorrow’s Little Lambs Adventure Club session. Your safety and comfort on the farm always come first, and with the weather looking unpredictable, we feel this is the right call.

To make up for the cancellation, we’ll be adding an additional date to our schedule.

Our remaining upcoming sessions are now:

Next week’s session will now be our Art & Painting Day, so prepare for all the colourful fun then instead.

🎨 Little Lambs Adventure Club – Painting Day at Rock Bank Farm!
This Wednesday, 26th August 10 am – 12 pm

Join us for a colourful morning of outdoor painting, hand and foot print making, and a collaborative mural.

Alongside the paint fun, enjoy our usual Little Lambs favourites — meeting the friendly farm animals, nursery rhymes, story time, tea, coffee, cake, snacks, a toy‑filled tipi, and plenty of free play.

☔ Pack your wellies and rain coat just in case!

£10 per session – snacks and drinks included.

🌻🌿Our Thank You Picnic — Saturday 22nd August, 2–5pm

We’re opening the gates for a relaxed community afternoon to say a huge, heartfelt thank you for everything you did during the wildfire evacuation.

On Monday 3rd August, a wildfire broke out behind the farm and we had to evacuate all of our rescue animals. From one plea for help on Facebook, our community mobilised instantly. Over 100 people arrived at the farm to create fire breaks, move animals to safety, and offer temporary homes. Messages and calls poured in from people offering support, and hundreds more shared the post to help spread the word. Your kindness, speed, and generosity made an overwhelming situation manageable — and reminded us how lucky we are to be part of this community.

This Saturday, we’d love to welcome you back to the farm for a gentle afternoon of gratitude. Come meet the animals, see the space you helped protect, and enjoy a picnic together. Please bring your own food and drinks.

Toilet facilities are limited, but handwash stations will be available. The toddler tipi will be open for little ones (no shoes inside, please).

This isn’t a fundraiser or an event — just a chance for us to say thank you in person. 🌻🌿

We treated two Whaley Bridge Foodbank volunteers to tickets for Whaley Fest, a community get-together of all-ages friendly fun on a local farm 🚜

We have so many volunteers in the High Peak that work so hard so it was great to give something back to them from High Peak Comps 😊

We hear the event - which we donated outdoor games to also - is returning for another year 👀

✨ Week 2 of Little Lambs Adventure Club was fantastic!

Messy play took centre stage today with sand, water and spaghetti worms, plus all our favourites — animal feeding, coffee and cakes, songs, story time, and arts and crafts. It’s been a brilliant morning and we’ve loved seeing everyone get stuck in.

We’re having a little break next week, but we’ll be back on Wednesday mornings, 10AM–12PM, from 26th August through to 16th September.

What’s coming up in future sessions:
🎨 Painting
🌿 Nature play
🎶 Kids disco
… and plenty more farm‑yard fun.

Keep an eye out for dates for our Halloween Special — it’s going to be a good one.

Classes are £10, plus £5 for an additional child, with refreshments included.

Sheep and goats had their bluetongue vaccines today, vaccines are never a favourite but everyone was quick to forgive us and come bouncing back for cuddles and playtime!
