National Fish & Chips day is here!

Get yourself some fish and chips from your local chippy today, a great British classic you know you want too.

Next Friday is National Fish and Chip Day and, to mark the occasion, Collins Seafoods have collaborated with Time and Plaice and Your Plaice or Your Plaice Or Mine, to feed NHS staff at St James’s Hospital, Leeds, as a thank you to the NHS for everything they do.

As well as fish donated by Collins Seafoods, we would also like to thank Smales Fish Merchants, Fastnet Fish Ltd and Great Grimsby Traditional for their additional fish donations, Henry Colbeck for sausages, dripping and packaging, Middleton Food Products for batter and curry sauce, Chippy’s Choice for pre-prepared chips, and W A Everatt for potatoes.

Time & Plaice and Your Plaice or Mine are providing the rest, with all staff generously donating their time for free. Both vans will be onsite throughout the afternoon, cooking and serving lunch to the hardworking hospital staff.

Mick Laverty from Collins Seafoods Yorkshire will also be there alongside Lee, Grace and the team to help support what promises to be a fantastic day celebrating National Fish & Chip Day while giving back to our NHS heroes.
