Our sole entry for the BBMGA online Pedigree auction 2026: Himmon Maestro, a proven young dappled traditional USA buck who has thrown some beautiful doe kids for us during his time as one of our herdsires.

A genuine, solid young buck with heaps of even more potential still to come as he matures. Not one to miss if you're looking for a buck that can bring it all: length, depth, width, style, hardiness, and colour as an added bonus!

💥 Sired by the 💷 1500 Knapp TD Prince
💥 Out of Himmon Athena, a Topknot Quattro daughter
💥 Proven and has passed his dapples on successfully
💥 Never pushed - naturally raised, outwintered since he was a kid

The only chance to snap up this wonderful young buck for a reduced reserve - as with all of our online auctions, privately he'd be around 1/3 higher.

Mineral bolused and will be dewormed prior to leaving.

The older does happily tucking into a thick bed of docks this morning. Perfectly demonstrating what Boer goats do best: sustainable w**d clearance 🌱

A very interesting post and one that strongly mirrors our own breeding strategy. Both anecdotally and in scientific studies, it’s widely recognised that pushing for extreme early growth over a prolonged period can increase the risk with later longevity and health. This is a large part of why we raise our own stock on a low-input system, where we hope they will go on to flourish in their new homes (no matter the system they move onto) 🌱

Disclaimer: We neither support nor dispute the exact claims made in the original post regarding ages and specific rearing systems, and all systems have both benefits and drawbacks.

If you’re thinking of a 2027 spring kidding, this commercial Purebred Red Boer buck might just be the lad you need. Available in the Stags online auction with a sensible reserve at meat value 🐦‍🔥

🔥 CAE accredited, Johnes tested negative

🔥 Birth notified in the Meat Herdbook

🔥 Purebred Boer genetics

This Red buck has proven himself to be strong on our low-input system, having outwintered on a forage-based diet with almost no hard feed, and only having been dewormed since being turned out as a kid once (regularly worm counted).

American Dappled and Australian Red genetics. His maternal grandsire was one of only three registered bucks from his genetics import, bringing renowned Armadown Australian Red bloodlines to the country.

Copper bolused and will be mineral drenched and dewormed prior to leaving.

Tired of the drought making your animals struggle? Maybe it’s time to consider future-proofing your farm with Boer Goats instead!

Originating in South Africa and bred to tolerate our unique all-over-the-place climate, British Boer Goats bring exceptional adaptability to the table. 🇿🇦🇬🇧

Despite the drought and being on a grass fed only diet currently, these boys are absolutely thriving. Not to blow our own trumpet, but I honestly think this might be the best batch of bucks we’ve ever bred and reared.
