Also, the beautiful dish I served it on came from .kitchen in Broadway. One of my favourite places to browse, and home to the best mint choc chip ice cream too!

This little flower is called Lucky sorrel 🍀

I love it because it looks like a tiny four-leaf clover, but flavour-wise it’s really sharp, fresh and citrusy. Such a good way to lift a salad or add a bit of brightness to a dish.

Tiny, but full of personality.

Big news to share…we have exchanged! 🎉

After a long search, lots of conversations, a fair bit of uncertainty and a huge amount of hoping…this beautiful old house is going to become our new family home and the next chapter of The Buttery Dish.

It needs work - plenty of it! - but underneath it all is something so incredibly special and I already feel completely inspired by what it could become.

A forever home for our family, as well as a place to gather people, create, cook, grow and slowly bring new ideas to life.

I honestly can’t wait to share the journey with you all.

Violas 💕

Probably my favourite edible flower to use. The colours are incredible, the petals almost look like velvet and they have such a gentle fresh flavour…slightly sweet with a little green lettuce note.

I use them everywhere…cakes, cocktails, ice cubes, canapés, even candied.

And the best bit? They’re really easy to grow too.

Such a fun day hosting the influencer team from Motel Rocks in a corporate workshop alongside Fred and Steph at Boyd Farms 🌿

A brilliant group…so chatty, creative and completely up for getting stuck into the canapé making from the start. Such a lovely workshop to be a part of.

Another edible flower I love using…

This is Apple Blossom Begonia, it’s delicate, pretty and with the most amazing crisp apple flavour with a slight citrusy sharpness to it.

I love using it in dishes and cocktails because it doesn’t just look beautiful, it actually brings something flavour-wise too.

Such a lovely little ingredient to work with.
