I've learnt from a handbook from The Bristol Garden's Association that in the mid 18th century the city supported 23 proffesional narket gardeners and 4 proffesional seedsmen. This is loads more than today, and the population was a tenth of the size then too. Support us and other farmers and growers rejuvinate this culture and make Bristol resilient once again. Get a weekly veg box. There's us at Three Hares, and others such as Simms Hill and Two Acre Farm. Start to support one of us instead of the supermarkets.
