Winfrith Bakery In April 2020, during the Covid-19 lockdown, we decided to support the community by offering bread to the local community of Winfrith Newburgh.

We have since grown and can bake for our wider community. We are a traditional artisan bakery located in rural Dorset which produces authentic bread, cakes and pastries. Our products are made from high quality ingredients, and
hand-crafted with considerable skill and great passion.

New Jam/Bake Workshop for 2025! This time it’s all about breakfast time. Tracey will guide you through a blueberry jam and clementine/ cointreau marmalade. Then we’ll make a granola and a special 3in1 breakfast mix that can be used to make muffins, scones or pancakes - magic! As usual all ingredients, workshop notes, light lunch, afternoon tea are included. Small group hands-on tuition in Tracey’s Jammery, Hazelbury Bryan. Send me a message if you’d like to know more.

Last few places on our final workshop date of 2024... Friday 13th and Saturday 14th December.

Spend a fun and festive day with Tracey and Me at her Jammery in Hazelbury Bryan. With Tracey you’ll make Caramel Apple Jam, Pickled Red Cabbage with Sloe Gin and a Chocolate Christmas Pudding. Then with me you’ll make a Cider Poached Apple Frangipane Tarts and traditional German Lebkucken. A true hands-on workshop you’ll get to take everything you’ve made home ready to start your Christmas. We provide all the ingredients, workshop notes and tuition, a light lunch, and an afternoon tea.

NEW Jam & Bake Workshops for Christmas! Come spend a wonderfully festive day with Tracey and me at The Jammery in Hazelbury Bryan.
This year Tracey will be making a Chocolate Christmas pudding, Caramel Apple Jam, and a Pickled Red Cabbage with Sloe Gin. I’ll be making a ‘Non Mince Pie’ that is a frangipane tart with caramel apple jam and cider poached apples AND the German Gingerbread
‘Lebkuchen. As with all our workshops these are hands on - you’ll take home everything you make ready for Christmas. Four dates are available - book on the A Jar of Website. Or message me for more details.

New workshop - make the most of the short English Cherry season with our special workshop. I’ll be at A Jar Of’s Jammery with Tracey. She will be making Cherry & Vanilla Jam and Cherries in a Spiced Port Syrup. Then I’ll be making a gorgeous Black Forest gateaux inspired Chocolate Brownies. Delighted to announce the next Jam & Bake workshop collaboration with Tracey from A Jar Of - Strawberries & Lemons. First up is the classics strawberry jam and lemon curd then a hazelnut meringue roulade and whipped lemon curd tarts. If that wasn’t enough we’ll be making some preserved lemons! Last couple of places left on the Picnic Season Workshop - this Saturday 13th April 10am-4pm. Held at the Jammery in Hazelbury Bryan. Learn to make a Tomato & Apple Chutney and a Jumbleberry Jam with Tracey. Then make a Hot Water Crust Hand Raised Picnic Pie (with a layer of the chutney) and some Custard & Jumbleberry Jam Tarts. Due to a cancellation we have two places available on next week’s Rhubarb Jam/Bake Workshop. Using the beautiful pink stems of forced Yorkshire rhubarb. You’ll make rhubarb vanilla jam and a rhubarb curd with Tracey of then make choux pastry buns with me - that’s choux paste, craquelin and Creme patisserie.
