About Us

Mudhouse Farm has developed as a business and a home since 2012. The land had not been farmed for many years. What you see today is years of work to improve the land and farm cattle that suit this marshy land. We are situated in North Devon between Exmoor and Dartmoor in Winkleigh.

We rear a very small heard of Belted Galloway cattle that are grass fed and spend time roaming in our 20 acres of woodland.

Ray is a butcher with over 25 years experience in the food industry.

We are different to others because;

- We butcher and pack our meat here on the farm ourselves- many others pay the abattoirs to generically pack, flavour and butcher their produce.

- We don’t do mass production and usually have around 12 -14 meat boxes available at a time. Look out for our updates and invitations to reserve a box - especially pre-Christmas.

- You will see pictures of fabulous ribs of beef cut to customers size and needs. Joints either b***d and rolled or bone in, again depending on customer preference.

- Our sausages are hand made and linked in the traditional fashion and made with natural casings. Our most popular flavours are Old English, Sweet Chilli, Lincolnshire, Cumberland.

We do have other produce available at any time; sausages, mince, diced beef, burgers and lamb. Just message us with your requirements.

We deliver locally in our electric car and offer overnight delivery @ £12. The boxes can hold up to 11kg of meat.

We deliver all over the UK - mainly to our repeat loyal customers but we are always pleased to meet new customers!
